International Toll Free Number Information

Many companies want to do business worldwide without restriction. Why limit your marketplace to just one area when the internet puts worldly connections at our finger tips? While you are not likely to get exposure everywhere (think places without internet or heavy internet restriction) you can get quite a bit of exposure pretty easily. Below are some tips for going international:
Tip #1: Be Prepared! Offering services across the world comes with its fair share of headaches including overseas payments, delivery, rules, and restrictions, timezones, etc. Know all the places you plan to do business in and make sure shipping won’t cost you a fortune. Make sure you there aren’t any restrictions on doing business in those areas, including additional taxes you may have to pay.
Tip #2: Know how to Market Yourself! If you’re from the US you are used to a certain type of advertising; don’t assume that people in other countries will be influenced to buy your product/service by using the same methods of advertising that we do here in the states. Start by looking at successful brands in your country of choice and you’ll notice something… The product will look a little odd to you and that’s because you’re used to US ads. For instance, businesses in the US and Canada nearly always have toll free numbers associated with their brand. Because our toll free numbers are government regulated they are associated with successful, trustworthy, and professional businesses. Head over to England and you’ll see toll free numbers being advertised by calling card companies and chat lines, if at all! Many people in other countries don’t trust a toll free because they aren’t regulated the same as they are in the US and Canada and many companies won’t use them because of their reputation for fly-by-nighters.
Tip #3: Watch Out for Fraud! While most people are honest, some are not and you’ll need to have a secured website in order to deter any fraudulent activity. That includes monitoring IP addresses, phone number, and addresses given from “high risk” areas. Scams move quickly and you don’t want to be caught in the middle of one, whether it’s sending out your goods or accepting a compromised credit card.
