Customer Spotlight: The Chibliski Family

Marcy and Phil Chibliski had always wanted a child but it didn’t seem to be in the cards for them. They tried unsuccessfully for two years before they finally decided to adopt. “I’ve always been very pro-adoption,” Marcy told us. “It’s not that I didn’t want to give birth myself, I would have loved that, it’s just that there are so many children are out that need families.”
For Phil it wasn’t so cut and dry. “I really wanted to have a child of my own flesh and blood, you know? Something to carry on the family,” he said. “But eventually Marcy convinced me and I realized that a family isn’t just about the name or the genes we’ve inherited.”
As anyone who’s gone through the process knows, adoption can be complicated. And for Marcy and Phil, it was no different. “It was a lot more work than we had expected,” Marcy said. “I mean, we knew it wouldn’t be easy but it still doesn’t prepare you.” Phil nodded, “Exactly. It was a real emotional roller-coaster at times. And after all the hoops we found out we were required to get a toll free number. We didn’t know anything about toll free numbers!”
For Marcy and Phil the prospect of getting a toll free number was intimidating. They weren’t sure what company would work for them, what kind of plans they would need, or even how it would work. Marcy explained the process to us. “We called several companies we found through Google and all of them were just terrible,” she said. “Not the phone service, we didn’t even get that far, but the customer service. Every person we talked to didn’t want to answer any questions they just wanted to sell! It was a nightmare.” “You have no idea how maddening it was,” Phil interjected. “I ended up calling our adoption service and explaining the situation and they said, ‘Oh, why didn’t you ask us about it? We always recommend www.Tollfreenumber.org.’ Boy, I felt like I had egg on my face, haha.”
When asked how they ended up joining the Tollfreenumber.ORG family, Marcy told us about the experience she had talking to Tollfreenumber.ORG‘s lead sales associate Renee. “I had braced myself for more of the same,” she said, “but I couldn’t have been more pleased. Renee was so helpful. I could tell she really cared about us.” And while Phil didn’t get a chance to talk to anyone himself, he was pleased with the results. “I couldn’t talk to another person. I was so over it. So Marcy called instead and was off the phone within 5 minutes. I figured she’d gotten the same result but then she said, ‘It’s done.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ And she said, ‘It’s all taken care of,’ and she had the biggest grin. That was the second happiest moment of the adoption.” The first came 7 weeks later when they spoke to their daughter’s birth mother for the first time. “We were nervous,” Marcy told us, “but not as nervous as I thought we’d be. This may sound silly but after all we went through, getting the toll free number really helped us relax. I really need to thank Renee and Tollfreenumber.org for being so wonderful.”
“WE need to thank you,” Phil interjected. “Thank you so much!” Marcy and Phil now have a beautiful 3-year old daughter named Kayla and they’re now considering adopting a little boy as well. “We kept the toll free number,” Marcy told us. “It hardly cost anything monthly so we figured we’d keep it around just in case.” In fact, they’ve used the number several times since the adoption for other reasons. “I’m kind of absent-minded so I’ve gone to the store a few times and forgotten my phone at home. Luckily there’s still a payphone out front our local grocer so I just dial our 800 number and talk to Marcy to get the grocery list. It’s pretty convenient.”
